One easy answer is to check the weather the day before your move to see what time it will rain. If it is going to rain in the morning try to Schedule your move for the evening ans so on. Making your move at the right time of day can help you avoid rain on your items.

Another great option is to Park the moving truck as close to the door of your house and place a tarp from the truck door to the house door. this will help to avoid items getting rained on. This only works if your within  the distance as the length of the tarp.

Make sure all items are covered before they leave the house!
